The 20th Anniversary RILO Commonwealth of Independent States Contact Point Meeting was held virtually
On October 1, 2021 the WCO Regional Intelligence Liaison Office for Commonwealth of Independent States (RILO CIS) celebrates its 20 years anniversary.
Congratulations on this event were received by RILO CIS from the Head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia Vladimir Bulavin, the Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia responsible for enforcement activity Oleg Gubaidulin, the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization Kunio Mikuria, as well as from the Heads of National Contact Points of RILO CIS from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The 20th Meeting of RILO CIS National Contact Points was held in videoconference format at date of the RILO CIS anniversary.
During the meeting RILO CIS informed the participants about the work carried out during the reporting period, as well as the interim results of their activities as Chairman of the Global RILO Meeting in 2021.
The participants discussed a wide range of topics pertaining to further strengthening of enforcement cooperation, information exchange, analytical work, the WCO CEN database and the new version of the CENcomm 3.0 Platform.
The meeting focused on the CEN and CENcomm developments, including the impact of each NCPs to the RILO CIS operational activities as well as on discussions on future approaches in intelligence sharing.
The RILO CIS Annual Action Plan 2022 was also endorsed by all the Member States. The participants agreed on the importance of deepening cooperation between all countries in the RILO CIS region.
